SPORTS MEDICINE COMPETITIONS
The American Academic Competition Institute (AACI) is dedicated to promoting excellence in Sports Medicine by offering challenging and social competitions and seminars for students from junior high through college. AACI actively creates, hosts, and continuously improves events designed to engage students at every level of their education.
Mission Statement: To enhance the students knowledge of Sports Medicine/Athletic Training through a mentally challenging, yet socially stimulating event.

A Legacy Born from StudentsThe idea for the competition was born in 2002 with the students of the St. Francis High School Kinesiology and Rehabilitation Course. Driven by a desire to test their real-world skills, they asked a simple, potent question: "Why can’t we hold a competition based solely on Sports Medicine?"
This student initiative quickly evolved into the Annual St. Francis High School Sports Medicine Competition. When the event outgrew the high school in 2017, AACI stepped in to coordinate, moving the competition to its California State University Northridge (CSUN), and back to St. Fracnis High school in 2025.
What began as a student's request is now a major regional event, serving as the qualifier for the prestigious Anatomage National Competition.
